Samsung All Set to Enter U.S. Desktop Market With Series 7 AIO

Samsung’s upcoming Series 7 notebooks are characterized by their sleek design and distaste for corpulence. So it’s no surprise that when Sammy decided to produce an all-in-one (AIO) PC under the said brand, it also chose to adopt the same design principles for the desktop as its Series 7 mobile brethren. Hit the jump to read more on the the Series 7 all-in-one PC, which marks the South Korean company’s maiden foray into the U.S. desktop PC market.

To ensure that its all-in-one remains true to Series 7 design ideals, the company has gone against the grain by wedging the PC parts into the base of the display and not behind it. This leaves the Series 7 all-in-one with a thin 23-inch display with surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch sensing technology. Interestingly, the screen can be tilted backwards up to 90 degrees. The exact specs aren’t known at this stage, but we do know that the PC has a slot-loading optical drive, one HDMI-in port and a single USB 3.0 port.

Depending on the Core i processor inside, the AIO will come in three flavors. Its Core i7 variant will start at $1,199, Core i5 model at $1,099 and Core i3 SKU at $999. The Series 7 AIO PC is scheduled to go on sale on October 10.
